Many thousands died in the fire that followed.\u00a0<\/span>Sixteen years ago today, Lady Diana died in a horrific traffic accident in Paris.\u00a0At this moment as I write, in Syria people are dying at the hands of people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Whether many or few people suffer, is there a God who cares?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">About 2000 years ago Peter wrote about a God who lifts and cares.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cHumble yourselves, therefore, under God\u2019s mighty hand,that he may lift you up in due time.\u00a0Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">1 Peter 5:6,7 (Bible: NIV)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Is there a God who cares?\u00a0My paintings express the hope that there is.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><i>Next week on 7<sup>th<\/sup> September, I hope to introduce my current collection, on the subject of &#8220;The Earth is the <b>L<\/b><\/i><b><i>ORD<\/i><\/b><b><i>\u2019s<\/i><\/b><i>\u2019\u2019.<\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ninety years ago tomorrow at lunch time, the ground shook under Tokyo and Yokohama.
